In 1976 Reverend Charles N. Chapman was elected as pastor of Victory Baptist Church. Rev. Chapman, a native of Texas, was a former Los Angles City employee and headed the Los Angeles  City Credit Union.

During his tenure a lot was purchased for additional parking and when Victory celebrated its 50th  Anniversary, a wrought iron fence was installed around the parking lots as the church property went through its beautification project.



In 1993, Rev. Chapman resigned due to health and became Pastor Emeritus of Victory Baptist Church.

 

 


Rev. Joseph Matthews, a minister and radio broadcaster served as interim pastor while a search was underway for a new pastor
